Austin, TX - One Hurt in Multi-vehicle Accident on I-35

Austin, TX (March 2, 2024) - On Friday, March 1, one person was hurt after a pileup crash in the Austin area. The accident was reported on Interstate 35 NB near Slaughter Lane that afternoon at around 1 p.m. The crash reportedly involved a private passenger bus headed to Dallas as well as five other vehicles. 

Emergency responders were quickly dispatched in order to render aid to the involved parties. There were 30 people on board the bus at the time of the crash. One of the occupants was transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center for treatment of sustained injuries. 

The area was temporarily shut down while emergency responders were present. No updates on the accident are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being handled by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be released as it continues.
