As the commercial truck was backing up, an oncoming Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck crashed into the trailer. The driver of the truck, 56-year-old Eduardo Nino Nino of Grand Prairie, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported in the collision. 

Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to render aid to the involved parties. The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officials. No additional information on the deadly trucking crash is currently available. Local law enforcement officials are handling the ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal accident.

Great Southwest Parkway that afternoon at around 2:15 p.m. Local reports indicated that the operator of an 18-wheeler was backing into a parking lot and blocking all northbound lanes on the roadway at the time of the crash.
