According to local reports, a driver was traveling eastbound in a 2023 Chevrolet Equinox in the westbound lanes when they collided head-on with an 18-wheeler. The driver, 36-year-old Dustin Lorenzana, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported in the crash. The area was temporarily closed while emergency units were present, and tow trucks were needed to remove the resulting debris in order to reopen the road to outside traffic. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
