Abilene, TX - One Killed in Head-on Pickup Crash on I-20

Abilene, TX (March 12, 2024) - On Sunday, March 10, two pickup trucks were involved in a deadly head-on collision outside of Abilene. The deadly accident occurred on Interstate 20. One of the drivers was killed in the impact. 

Emergency responders were quickly dispatched in order to render aid to the involved parties. Local reports indicated that a Dodge Ram pickup truck was headed east in the westbound lanes of the highway. The truck collided head-on with an oncoming Ford. The driver of the Ford was killed in the collision. The deceased party was later identified as 18-year-old Aspen Blessing of Baird. The other driver was hospitalized for treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is underway.
