If you’re confronted by an aggressive driver or a road rage driver, call the police immediately. If you’re in the left lane and someone wants to pass, move over and let the driver pass you. If confronted while stopped, do not get out of your vehicle. The Texas Department of Transportation recommends that you do not make eye contact with the aggressive driver. Doing so will not calm the situation. At the same time, confronting such a person may implicate you in charges, so it’s usually a good idea to keep a distance until authorities arrive at the scene. If you’re followed, ensure that you go to a public place with lots of people and call the police immediately.
