San Angelo, TX - Injuries in Rear-end Wreck on Houston Harte Frontage Rd

San Angelo, TX (April 18, 2024) - There were multiple injuries reported after a two-vehicle collision in the San Angelo area on Tuesday, April 16. The collision was reported at the 4100 block of Houston Harte Frontage Road WB early that morning. Local reports revealed that a Dodge Ram pickup truck and a silver Mazda van collided at the scene. 

It was later revealed that the driver of the pickup failed to control their speed as they neared a yield sign and collided with the rear of the Mazda as it was waiting at the sign. Multiple people in both vehicles were hurt as a result of the crash. The occupants of the van were transported by ambulance to Shannon Medical Center for the treatment of sustained injuries. The occupants of the truck were hospitalized for the treatment of life-threatening injuries. 

There were reportedly two people traveling in the truck. It is currently unknown how many people were traveling in the van at the time of the crash. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local authorities.
