Austin, TX - Three Killed in Collision at FM 973 & Platt Ln

Austin, TX (March 31, 2024) - On Saturday, March 30, three people were killed and others were injured following a collision in the Austin area. The deadly accident was reported at the intersection of Farm to Market 973 and Platt Lane early that morning at around 2:25 a.m. Local reports indicated that four ambulances and STAR Flight were dispatched to the scene to render the necessary aid. 

When emergency crews arrived, one of the victims was trapped in a vehicle and had to be extricated by responding officials, and three others were also seriously hurt. The critical victim was flown by STAR Flight to a local hospital for treatment, and three others were pronounced dead at the scene. There were three additional victims that were injured and hospitalized. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
