Spring, TX - Officer Hurt in Crash with Wrong-way Driver on Louetta Rd

Spring, TX (March 21, 2024) - A Harris County sheriff's deputy was injured after attempting to stop a wrong-way driver in the Spring area on Tuesday, March 19. The accident was reported at the 8000 block of Louetta Road that evening at around 11:30 p.m. The deputies were traveling westbound en route to a call when they saw a driver traveling in the opposite direction. 

The officers made a U-turn in order to stop the vehicle. This is when the patrol car was hit by another motorist. Two deputies were traveling in the car, but only one was hospitalized for treatment of sustained injuries. The driver involved remained at the and cooperated with responding officials. No further updates on the accident have been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
