There has not been a single day without a car accident in the state of Texas since November 7, 2000, according to findings from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). This is why you can never feel completely safe when driving across the Lone Star State. There were 244,092 recorded injuries from auto accidents in 2022 alone. An average of one car accident occurs every 57 seconds in the state, with someone being killed in a collision almost every two hours. Nearly every two minutes and nine seconds, a crash resulting in injuries was reported, meaning that someone is hurt or killed in collisions daily on Texas roads. If you or someone close to you is unexpectedly hurt in a car accident, you must partner with a trained attorney in order to recover the compensation you are owed.
Navigating a personal injury claim can be a very complex process. Crash victims are often overwhelmed and unprepared to protect their legal rights in the aftermath of a serious collision. You do not want to leave yourself vulnerable to being taken advantage of by a large insurance company at this time. If you let it, the insurer will try to cheat you out of your due compensation, meaning you will not be able to get the settlement you need to recover. This can be devastating for your recovery, and in extreme cases, injured parties can find themselves unable to return to their former lives.
The steps you take after a serious car accident can determine the rest of your life.
