Austin, TX - Child Seriously Hurt in Crash at US-290 & State School Rd

Austin, TX (March 3, 2024) - Two were injured after a car accident in the Austin area on Sunday morning, March 3. The accident took place at the 10300 block of US-290 WB near State School Road early that morning at around 2:41 a.m. The victims were reportedly traveling in a vehicle when it overturned on the highway. 

Two ambulances were reportedly called to the scene. A child was identified as one of the victims. They were taken to Dell Children's Medical Center for treatment of critical injuries. The other victim was also hospitalized at Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas for treatment. No updates on their conditions have been provided. 

The area was temporarily closed while emergency responders were present. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
