San Antonio, TX - Pedestrian Hurt in Hit-&-Run at Austin & 9th St

San Antonio, TX (February 25, 2024) - Early on Sunday, February 25, a pedestrian was injured following a hit-and-run accident in the San Antonio area. The fatal accident took place just north of downtown at the corner of Austin Street and 9th Street early that morning. Local authorities were assisting at the scene of another crash when a red pickup truck hit a pedestrian. 

Officers were unable to stop the driver before they were able to get away using the freeway. The injured pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. At this time, no updates on the conditions of the injured party have been provided. 

The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews assisted at the scene. No further information on the accident is currently available.
