Houston, TX - Young Girl Killed in Rollover Crash on Grand Pkwy

Houston, TX (February 21, 2024) - On Monday, February 19, a child was killed and several others were injured after a rollover crash in the Houston area. The fatal accident took place on Grand Parkway near West Road just past midnight. It was reported that two adults and four children were traveling southbound in a vehicle at the time of the crash. 

The occupants were returning from a trip to San Antonio, and the 36-year-old woman driving the car left the roadway, where it hit a cable barrier system. This caused the car to overturn. A 12-year-old girl traveling in the car was ejected. She suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

All the passengers were hospitalized for treatment. A 16-year-old reportedly suffered a broken clavicle. The driver did not show signs of intoxication. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
