The victim was hit by a westbound 2015 Freightliner truck. Emergency crews were dispatched to render aid to the involved parties, and the area was temporarily closed. The injured party suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. 

The deceased party was later identified as 51-year-old Sherman Daniel Stewart of Flagstaff, Arizona. No other injuries were reported in the collision. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local law enforcement officials, and more information will be provided as it continues.

Pyote, TX (January 30, 2024) – An Arizona man was killed after being struck by a commercial vehicle in the Pyote area on Saturday morning, January 27. The deadly accident took place on Interstate 20 near mile marker 66 in Ward County early that morning at around 6:10 a.m. Local reports revealed that a pedestrian was walking westbound along the highway.
