Yarrelton, TX - Passenger Killed in Head-On Crash with Tractor-Trailer on FM 485

Yarrelton, TX (March 22, 2023) - On Tuesday, March 21, a head-on crash involving a truck with a trailer left one person dead outside of Yarrelton. 

The deadly accident was reported on FM 485 at around 6:30 a.m. in Milam County. Local reports indicated that a truck hauling a trailer was traveling eastbound when it crashed head-on with a westbound 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage. It was later revealed that the 22-year-old driver of the Mirage was attempting to pass another vehicle in a no-pass zone. 

A North Carolina woman riding in the front seat was killed in the collision. No other injuries have been reported at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is in progress.
