Daycare Owner Faces Abuse Charges

House Bill 1110

A Louisville, Kentucky woman who owned a daycare is facing charges of third-degree criminal abuse resulting from an incident that occurred at her daycare facility.

Detecting abuse.

The circumstances of the story are telling for people who suspect that some sort of abuse may be going on at the daycare center where they bring their child. Oftentimes, what appears as a somewhat mysterious bruise to a parent may be an obvious sign of abuse to a trained professional. It is not at all the fault of the parents that they did not realize that there may have been abuse going on; sometimes it does take someone with medical training to make an accurate determination of whether or not someone was injured by being struck.
If you do suspect that some sort of abuse may be going on at a daycare center, make certain that you bring your child to an emergency room for treatment. If you can get into one quickly, a general practitioner can also take a look at your child and let you know whether or not it seems to them as if the injuries they suffered were the direct results of abuse.
If your child was abused at a daycare facility, consider contacting a daycare abuse attorney. Whether or not the owner or workers at the facility face criminal charges does not affect your eligibility to file a lawsuit. The compensation you may win from a lawsuit could help to pay for medical treatments your child may require and other expenses the abuse brought about.

Daycare Owner Faces Abuse Charges

A Louisville, Kentucky woman who owned a daycare is facing charges of third-degree criminal abuse resulting from an incident that occurred at her daycare facility.

According to reports, the woman is accused of repeatedly slapping an 18-month-year-old girl in the face because the girl would not stop crying.
The mother of the girl who was allegedly abused said that she had been using the daycare for three weeks prior to the incident. She first suspected that something may have been wrong when she noticed that her child had minor bruises on her face. The daycare owner, when she was asked about how the child came to be bruised, allegedly claimed that her dog had knocked the child over.
According to the story, bruising was discovered inside the child’s ear and behind her ear. Upon taking the child to the emergency room, the emergency room workers informed the mother that there was clearly a handprint and that the child had been beaten at least four or five times on the side of her face.
