Reports from authorities show that a 2008 Honda Fit and a 2019 Chevrolet Trax were involved in a head-on collision in the 8600 block of East Interstate 30, near the area of St Francis Avenue.
The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to go off the side of the road and come to rest in a grassy area where the Honda rolled over 360-degrees.
The driver of the Honda, a 25-year-old female, was declared deceased at the scene due to the extent of her injuries. A passenger in the Chevrolet, which was identified as a ride-share vehicle, was transported to Baylor University Medical Center. At this time, the incident remains under investigation with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
