Nacogdoches, TX (October 28, 2020) – One person lost their life in a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday morning. At around 7:15 a.m., on October 27, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the site of a vehicle collision on US Highway 59.
According to reports, 40-year-old Jessie Dale Cashion and his co-driver, 48-year-old Robert Allen Cain, were traveling north on US Highway 59 in a 2020 Kenworth towing a semi-trailer when their vehicle collided with a 2006 Freightliner truck towing a trailer, which was driven by 65-year-old Salvador Oliva.
The impact of the crash caused severe damage to both vehicles involved. Both Cain and Cashion were transported to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital for the treatment of serious injuries.
Oliva sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the crash remains under investigation with the police.
