Port Arthur, TX – Tara Butler and Timothy Labbit Injured in Crash on US-69 (US-96)

Port Arthur, TX (September 29, 2020) – A vehicle accident reported in the Port Arthur area sent two victims to area hospitals with injuries. On September 28, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a crash on US Highway 69 (US Highway 96).

Reports provided by troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety show that a 2018 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling north on US Highway 69, followed by a 2020 Honda passenger vehicle, a2013 Cadillac, and a 2019 Toyota SUV. After the vehicles began to slow down on the road, they were involved in a collision with a 2014 Dodge Van, driven by 27-year-old Timothy Labbit.

Labbit sustained undisclosed injuries in the accident. He was transported to CHRISTUS Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth. The driver of the Toyota, who was identified as 61-year-old Tara Butler, was transported to Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas for treatment of injuries.

No other injuries were reported in this accident. At this time, the police are investigating.
