Reports from authorities show that a 33-year-old man was traveling west on Texas State Highway 105 when his black Chevrolet pickup truck collided with an eastbound black Chevrolet pickup truck, which was occupied by a 56-year-old man and his 57-year-old wife.
The impact of the crash caused severe damage to the vehicles involved. Both male drivers were killed instantly in the accident. One backseat passenger inside one of the trucks was also fatally injured.
A 15-year-old male sustained minor injuries in the accident and was transported to an area trauma center via ambulance. A 33-year-old male passenger was flown by LifeFlight to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The wife of the deceased driver in the eastbound pickup truck was seriously injured in the accident. She was airlifted via LifeFlight to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
Crews spent over four hours at the scene of the accident clearing vehicles and debris from the road. At this time, investigations surrounding the crash are ongoing.
