Dallas, TX – Child Injured in Drowning on Marvin D Love Fwy (US-67)

Dallas, TX (August 18, 2020) – On August 17, the Dallas Fire-Rescue and Police Department responded to the scene of a drowning incident at the Bellevue Terrace Apartments.

Reports show that an 8-year-old boy was swimming in the pool of the apartment complex, which is located on the Marvin D Love Freeway (US Highway 67) near Interstate 20. For unknown reasons, the child was located unresponsive in the water. An employee at the apartment complex pulled the child out of the pool and began life-saving measures until medical personnel arrived. The child was revived and rushed to an area hospital via ambulance. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
