Reports provided by authorities show that a red Toyota Prius, a white sedan, and a Chevrolet Tahoe collided on North New Road at the intersection with Erath Avenue for unknown reasons. The impact of the crash caused extensive damages to the white sedan and the involved hatchback. The hatchback caught fire after the collision.
Firefighters arrived at the scene of the crash and extinguished the fire. Crews utilized the Jaws of Life to remove trapped victims from their vehicles. A man sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident. A female in the sedan sustained serious injuries in the crash and a woman inside the Tahoe sustained minor injuries. Medical personnel rendered aid to the three victims at the scene and transported those in need of further treatment to area hospitals. At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
