At around 7:30 p.m., on February 7, authorities were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Green Mountain Road. Reports indicate that an SUV was traveling south along the roadway when it collided head-on with a four-door sedan.
The driver of the SUV, who was later identified as 32-year-old Omar Duran, suffered fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
The driver of the sedan was injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment.
