The precious little boy was injured as a result of a physician’s failure to recognize non-reassuring signs during a lengthy labor and delivery, and as a result of the nurses’ failures to convey all critical information to the physician.
Due to the failure of medical professionals during the labor process, the child developed hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, severe spastic quadriplegia cerebral palsy, microcephaly, mental retardation, and a seizure disorder.
We pursued a medical malpractice claim against those responsible for their baby’s injuries, and settled the claim for $3,000,000.00.
As a result of this settlement, this severely-injured child will be able to receive necessary therapy sessions, home modifications, medical devices, and other items he will need throughout the course of his lifetime.
