A Sunday afternoon possible illegal street race ended with the death of a West Texas woman who unknowingly turned left in front of the two speeding cars.
According to police in Andrews, Texas, two residents were traveling at excessive speeds next to each other on Main Street when a woman unaware of the race turned left in front of the cars and was struck on the broad side of her vehicle. The woman, 48-year-old Irma Macias, died of her car accident injuries. Neither of the men who were racing were injured in the accident.
